Specialty Crops School set Feb. 25

The Northern Piedmont Specialty Crops School is designed to explore the art and science of growing and marketing specialty crops.

This year's school will feature a chef who manufactures gourmet food products throughout the country by buying the raw product from growers and processing it into a “value-added” product for re-sale, a veteran roadside marketer, and an North Carolina A&T Extension Specialist who will speak on marketing and creating a business logo.

The school will be held in the auditorium of the Person County Cooperative Extension Center, 304 S. Morgan St., Roxboro, N.C The cost of the one-day school is $25 for the first person of a family or business and includes lunch. The cost will be $15 for each additional family member or business associate, which also includes lunch Pre-registration is needed to guarantee a seat and lunch.
