How the U.S. peanut market can get back to a more profitable level

Marshall Lamb, research leader with the USDA National Peanut Lab in Dawson, Ga., says the U.S. peanut industry is still struggling through a large surplus created by the record 2012 crop, but there is a way to work through that surplus with this year's crop and get back to a healthy market carryover level of 600,000 tons. He talks peanut export markets, too, and this year's crop to date with Farm Press associate editor Brad Haire.
