Florida peach acreage growing in response to citrus greening

If not by leaps and bounds, Florida’s peach acreage is growing, up from just a few hundred acres a decade ago to an expected 1,200 acres by year’s end. The peach increase is coming mostly from citrus growers looking to diversify acreage in response to citrus greening, a bacterial disease and No. 1 threat to Florida’s citrus industry.
