Protecting efficacy of new corn herbicides should be priority

Corn farmers could have new herbicide traits in their arsenal when the new growing season rolls around. The new traits will allow them to apply 2,4-D or dicamba over the top of their herbicide-resistant corn plants. But, as Iowa State’s Mike Owens explains in this video, it’s important that farmers don’t begin applying the old 2,4-D or the old dicamba when the traits are approved for planting. Owens was a speaker at Iowa State’s annual Integrated Crop Management Conference in Ames, Iowa.
