With 236 companies exhibiting in 943 booths, the 2009 Commodity Classic Trade Show set a record in Grapevine, Texas, for the largest show in the history of Commodity Classic.
The trade show has more than doubled in size since the first Commodity Classic in 1996.
More growers attended Commodity Classic this year than in 2008 — 1,513 — with total attendance of 4,527.
“Commodity Classic in Grapevine was a huge success! We were extremely pleased with the trade show attendance and the General Session and the Evening of Entertainment really topped off the event,” said Commodity Classic Co-chair Ron Kindred.
“The WIN and Learning Center sessions were very well attended with some of the sessions having standing room only! We hope to see even more people next year in Anaheim.”
Some Commodity Classic highlights included a General Session with Emcee Mark Mayfield, discussions with the four association presidents and entertainment by Sam Glenn; an Evening of Entertainment featuring performances by Grammy award-winners Pam Tillis and Riders In The Sky; a sold-out trade show; association banquets and numerous networking opportunities.
Commodity Classic 2010 will be held March 4-6 in Anaheim, Calif.
