USDA deputy secretary has homecoming at Peanut Conference: Part II

Deputy Secretary of Agriculture Krysta Harden decided to make a career change after serving on the House Agriculture Committee staff for a number of years in the 1980s and 90s. She joined a Washington firm that was lobbying on behalf of mostly oilseeds, crops which were not highly regarded at the time. Harden says she learned a lot as she watched soybean growers invest their dollars and their hard work in creating demand for their crop.
