Mac Dunkley dies in farm accident

Malcolm L. “Mac” Dunkley, director of the Bright Belt Warehouse Association, died July 11, 2001, from injuries received in a tractor accident. He was 56.

Dunkley worked at the Bright Belt Warehouse Association in Raleigh for 18 years. He was a member of the Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church, the Bahama Ruritan Club, served on the Bahama Fire/Rescue Board and numerous agricultural related boards in Raleigh and throughout the Southeast.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Dunkley, of Bahama, N.C.; his father, Cleo A. Dunkley of Roxboro, N.C.; two sons, Craig Dunkley, of Raleigh, N.C., and Scott Dunkley, of Winston-Salem, N.C.; one grandson, Reagan Dunkley, of Raleigh, N.C.; two brothers, Alfred Dunkley, of Albany, Ga., and Bill Dunkley, of Roxboro, N.C.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church, 1605 Bahama Road, Bahama, N.C. 27503 or Triangle Hospice 1804 Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway, #112 Durham, N.C. 27707.
