The Eastern North Carolina Hay Day will be held in Pitt County on June 25, 2013, at the Tar River Ranch located on 3110 Old River Road, Greenville, N.C. 27834.
The event will begin with registration at 9:30 a.m. and the program will begin at 10 a.m. with mover and conditioners demonstration.
The education program will follow with presentations on weed management in pastures, forage production management, and updates of the beef industry from the North Carolina Cattlemen’s Association.
Following a sponsored lunch, there will be demonstrations of hay balers and hay tedders and conditioners.
There will also be booths set up with static displays from many agribusinesses, which deal with hay and hay production.
We are also planning to have summer forage plots for demonstration purposes.
Come out to the field day and learn about the latest on hay production.
