The UF/IFAS North Florida Research and Education Center-Suwannee Valley in Live Oak will be offering its two-part “Farming is Risky Business, Surviving Current Issues,” workshop on Friday, Jan. 20 and again on Jan. 27, from 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the Suwannee County Farm Bureau, (407 Dowling Ave. SE) Live Oak, Fla.
Breakfast begins at 7:30 a.m., followed by a short program. The program will address topics including, where does your business stand on labor issues, such as wage/hour, transportation, immigration and human trafficking, general safety, pesticide usage, how BMPs can protect your assets, using financial risk management tools, climate based risk management, and legislative updates.
