Drought-tolerant cotton hits bump in the road

Drought tolerance has been one of the objectives of  scientists working on transforming the genetic makeup of commercial crops. But  growers shouldn’t look for drought-tolerant cotton anytime soon. Cotton  Incorporated’s Don Jones discussed this and other topics during a  question-and-answer session that followed his presentation at the Cotton  Competitiveness Conference in Raleigh, N.C.
